Grab your Candy Canes and lets make science! This is a fun little experiment for all ages!

Science Tools Needed: mixing bowl, 1 shallow dish, pipettes, safety goggles (so you look and feel like a real scientist)
Supplies Needed : vinegar, baking soda, peppermint oil (so your house will smell like a cool winter morning), red food coloring (could make it any color), candy canes (just for fun)

Fill bottom of shallow dish with baking soda.

In small mixing bowl stir together 1 cup vinegar, 5 drops peppermint oil and 10 drops red food coloring.

It's time for some fizzy fun now!

When I said fun for all ages, I really meant it. The kids covered every inch of baking soda, then added some more! We found when we made a tunnel in the soda with our pipettes, and squeezed the vinegar into it, it would come bubbling and fizzing out the other end.
When we were finished we watched some videos on youtube that explained the science to the baking soda vinegar reaction. It's your turn now! Gather your supplies and let the science happen!
