~Slime DIY~

Today we're going to share with you a slime recipe! My girls love making slime, and they love playing with slime as well. I'll admit, I catch myself playing with this stuff as well.

Here's what you'll need:

1/2 cup warm water

instant snow (optional)

glitter (optional)

(I added links on the items if you want to purchase on Amazon. However, I will say, I got several of these much cheaper at Wal-Mart. )

We tried this recipe with both glues. Only the white glue turned out. We will try a recipe for the clear glue another time. If we like it we will share it with you all. Stay tuned!

So the first thing you need to do is mix your white glue and warm water.

Then add a squirt of foam hand soap. My girls picked out a pear scent and a citrus scent.

If you want glitter, add it now!

The girls saw a video with this instant snow mixed in with the slime. They thought they really needed to make some with it. However, I do not recommend this because it is a huge mess. While playing with the slime the snow just falls out all over the place. Maybe we did something wrong, who knows.

It did make a pretty ground for Lis to play with her ponies. It looked like they were in real snow.

Now it's time to add the activator. This was the first time for us to use the Nickelodeon activator. You do not need a lot of this. Just a squirt. If you add too much your slime will not be stretchy. Believe me, I know from experience. Just mix everything together until it turns into slime. This is the easiest and best slime we have made so far! Oh! One more thing, my girls have learned that they can color their slime by making four or five lines on the slime with a permanent marker. They just make the lines, then work the color into the slime by squishing it all together. You can also use a few drops of food color.

Hope you're having a slimy fun day!
